The Old King David Manor

This drawing used to hang on the wall of Nick's room. It is a crayon drawing of The King David Manor, and old building on the Long Beach boardwalk.

Lately Nick has been looking at pictures of The King David Manor on his computer. He prints them out and brings them to mommy and daddy. This is a picture Nick found on the computer.

We remind Nick that the King David Manor is all gone, but Nick still wants to visit.

One day mommy bought Nick a wooden box from the craft store. We traced out the lines of The King David Manor, and them Nick painted in the colors.


Every time Nick asks for The King David Manor mommy says, "Look, it's right here! Nick has a little King David Manor!"

No Mommy until Tuesday

Today mommy gave Nick a paper schedule for the next few days. Mommy is going to work in Boston, Nick will not see mommy until Tuesday night.

Mommy typed out a schedule so Nick knows what is happening each day. On Sunday, mommy will fly in an airplane to Boston, mommy will sleep in a hotel building for two days. Daddy will take care of Nick.

On Monday, Nick will go to school. When Nick comes home, daddy will take care of Nick.

On Tuesday, Nick will go to school. When Nick comes home, Ms. Schneider will take care of Nick. Daddy will come home after dinner, and then mommy will come home in the night time.

Mommy said, "I will call you on the telephone, will you talk to mommy on the telephone?" Nick did not say any words, then he crawled under the covers in mommy's bed.

On Wednesday we will be back to our old schedule. Mommy will put Nick on the school bus in the morning, then Ms. Schneider will take care of Nick, and then after dinner mommy and Nick will take our walk to get ice cream.
