Happy Easter!

Today is Easter Sunday.  Nick has been decorating the house as he does for most holidays. 

We have colorful gem gels on the window.




Mom bought daffodils.  Nick picked out the egg wreath and made a little Easter shrine.




Nick ate up his candy, mom called Nick "The King of Peeps."

Cooking Eggs for Breakfast

Today mom said, "your teachers tell me you are good at cooking eggs at school.  Today you will make eggs for breakfast."

Mom gave Nick all the ingredients: a frying pan, a wooden spoon, eggs with milk in a bowl, and butter.

We heated the butter in the pan, then Nick beat the eggs.

Then he poured the egg mixture into the pan.

Nick had to wait and watch the eggs cook.  Nick does not like waiting.

When the eggs started to bubble Nick stirred them in the pan.

Then he sat at the table to eat egg breakfast.

Nick gave the eggs a good review!

And he ate up all the eggs!  Mom said, "great job, I'm glad you enjoyed it.  Now what are you supposed to do?"

Clean up! 

Nick rinsed his plate and fork and put them in the dishwasher.

Mom said, "what a good job you did, you should make mom breakfast every weekend."

Pizza English Muffins

Last week mom went to a meeting at Nick's school.  Nick's teacher's told Nick he is likes cooking, and that he likes to make pizza english muffins. 

Mom bought the ingredients so Nick could make this for lunch on Sunday.

Nick toasted the English muffins, then put tomato sauce and cheese on top.

Then the muffins were put in the toaster oven to cook.

When they were done Nick put them on a plate.

Mom want to get Nick a napkin, and when mom came back the muffins were gone - Nick ate them all up! 

Mom said, "wow, you ate that fast, was that good?"

Nick said, "YES!"
