Happy Easter

Today is Easter Sunday. After St. Patrick's Day was all done, Nick started his Easter shrine. He drew two pictures of Easter eggs in a nest. Then he bought colorful eggs from the craft store, and daddy bought Nick a chocolate bunny. Nick also made pictures at school and AHRC. Mommy convinced Nick to put his shrine on the bookshelf next to his computer.


Nick is on spring break, school is closed until April 16th. When Nick came home on Wednesday he brought home a drawing of a flower and it said Happy Mother's Day. Mommy and McKenzie looked that picture and said, "Oh that Nick, he really knows his holidays!"

Happy Birthday McKenzie!

Saturday was McKenzie's birthday. We all had a birthday dinner, and then Nick brought out the birthday cake surprise - we got three little cakes that look like Easter Eggs, and we put Happy Birthday candles on top!


When Nick sang the birthday song he said his own name. McKenzie said, "Oh that Nick, he thinks all birthday cakes are for him!"

The Sweet Retreat is Closed

Today is Sunday, Nick remembered that daddy goes in the taxi to work far away. Nick was sad, he did not want daddy to go in the taxi. When the car drove away, mommy asked Nick what he wanted to do. Nick said he wanted to take a walk to get ice cream, he showed mommy a picture of The Sweet Retreat on Google Maps.

We took a walk and got pizza lunch, then we went to The Sweet Retreat ice cream shop, but they were closed.


Mommy asked Nick if he wanted to go somewhere else for ice cream but Nick said no. Then Nick said, "June, ice cream open."

Mommy said, "yes, they will open in summer and we will come back again just like we do every year."

Skype with Grammy, Henry and Katie

Skype is a way to see people and talk to them on the computer. When daddy works far away, Nick sees daddy on the computer.

Last week mommy and Nick skyped with grammy, Henry and Katie. This is a picture of all of us on the computer.

Katie said hi to us and Henry talked about school and his piano recital. Grammy said, "I'm so happy to see all of my grandchildren today!"

St. Patrick's Day

Today is March 17th, it is St. Patrick's Day.

Of course Nick has been decorating for the holiday, he bought gem gels that say Happy St Patty's Day, and he has green tinsel shamrocks hanging in the windows.


And Nick made a shrine, he bought little green hats and put them on his little people, and he bought a big green hat that he put on his koala bear.


And Nick painted one of his bird houses green and white, with shamrock stickers on the house.

Mommy told Nick, "Now that St. Patrick's day is over, what will you do next? Maybe a shrine to spring?"

Skype with Daddy

Today is Sunday. Daddy had to go on an airplane again, daddy is working in Cleveland city. Nick sat at the window and watched the taxi car drive away.

Mommy reminded Nick that he will see daddy again on Friday. And Nick will see daddy every night on the computer.

Daddy calls us on Skype. When mommy hears the sound, she tells Nick to click the button and then we see daddy on the computer.

Some nights Nick does not say any words.


But Wednesday night Nick was happy to see daddy on the computer, he was clapping his hands and jumping up and down in his chair.

When mommy reminded Nick that he will see daddy on the computer, Nick pointed to the computer and said, "Daddy, Hi."

Mommy said, "That's right! Let's see that great talking later when daddy calls!"

The Hampton Inn

In February, daddy and Nick take a trip to The Hampton Inn. Nick looks forward to the trip, he even wrote daddy a note of the things he wanted to do.


And Nick used his computer to make his own picture of the hotel.

Nick sat at the window and looked out at the road and the trees. Then it was time to have dinner at TGI Fridays with Uncle Bobby.

Nick was so happy at the restaurant. He ate all his dinner and then daddy, Bobby and Nick went back to the hotel to play in the pool.

Mommy and Nick looked at the pictures and the movies on the computer. Mommy said, " I can see why you look forward to this trip, you have such a good time on your weekend with daddy."
