Happy Valentine's Day

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day. It is a day to buy flowers and candy for people you love. Nick loves McKenzie, so Nick made her a present. It was a box of chocolates with a dog on the box.


We needed to things to wrap the present, so we took out red paper, white ribbon, stickers and a card. Nick helped mommy wrap the box and tie it with ribbon. Them Nick signed the card.

He put stickers on the outside, there were little hearts and the letters: To McKenzie.

Then we were all done. Mommy put the present away so Nick did not open it. But mommy said, "who knows, maybe there will be a present for Nick too. We'll see...."

Snowmen All Done

Yesterday Nick was sad, he looked out the window and saw that the heads fell off his little snowmen. Nick asked mommy to help, so mommy put them back together. But then on Sunday, it was a warm day and the snowmen melted away. There is nothing left but their hats and scarves.


The snow was also melting on the porch. Nick kept going outside to move snow from the porch. Mommy gave Nick a broom so he did not have to use his hands.

Now the porch is all clean thanks to Nick sweeping with the broom. We sat at the window and looked at the melting snow. Mommy reminded Nick that spring is coming, and we will see flowers. Then in the summer Nick will have a pool. In the autumn leaves change color and fall off the trees. When mommy started to talk about winter Nick said, "December christmas tree presents!"
