Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is mom's birthday.  Nick made mom two cards, one at school and one at AHRC.  Nick and dad took mom to a restaurant for birthday dinner, and then we had a cupcake with Nick's special candles!

Buzzer Beater

Today is St. Patrick's day, and Nick went to another school as part of the traveling basketball team from Long Beach.

Nick's teacher texted mom some pictures, and he said Nick did a great job today!

Mom was so proud, she said, "I am going to put these pictures on your blog right away!"

Exercise Bike

Last week, McKenzie sent mom a video of Nick on an exercise bike.  He was riding while playing on his computer!

Mom said, "way to multi-task Nick!"

Aladdin - The Musical

Today, mom and dad told Nick "we are going into the city to see a special performance of Aladdin - The Musical."

We showed Nick the Disney movie on DVD so he would know the story and the music.

Nick was very well behaved in the theater and gave the performers a standing ovation at the end of the show!

Snowy Day at the Beach

Today we got more snow in Long Beach.  In the afternoon, mom said, "let's go take a walk and visit the beach!"

We stopped at the boardwalk to make sure it was not too windy.
Mom said it was okay to go down to the beach.  Nick took off running!
Nick ran on snowy sand to the water.
Good thing Nick was wearing his waterproof boots, he stood in the shallow water and did not get too cold.
Mom said, "come sit on this rock, I have so many pictures of you on this rock."

Then Nick took off his hat and caught snowflakes on his tongue.

Shaving

Last Sunday was the last day of winter recess.  It was time to go back to school.  Dad helped Nick shave so he would look good for his first day back at school.

Sunday Dinner with Grammy

Last Sunday, grammy came to visit.  Mom made us dinner, but grammy did not want to have Nick's Sunday dinner of fried chicken with mac and cheese.  Mom made shrimp linguine, but Nick had his regular dinner and was very happy.

A Day at Mom's Work

On President's Day, there was no school but mom had to go to work.  Mom and Nick took the train to New York City.

It was a very cold day.  When we were on the bridge over the bay, some of the water had changed to ice.
Nick liked mom's new work building.  He brought his computer and got to work at a desk overlooking Times Square.
