Merry Christmas

This year mom said we are doing some things different.  We did not get a real tree this year, instead we have a smaller tree on a table.  Nick did not mind the change because we set it up earlier in the season so there are more weeks with a Christmas tree in the living room!

Here are some pictures from our holiday.  Grammy bought Nick a nice shirt and festive tie, and some holiday cupcakes which were delicious!

Backyard Pictures

Grandpa gave us a plant that brings butterflies!  We love to sit outside and watch them on the flowers.

Chores: Laundry

Nick helps mom do the laundry each week.  He has to separate the lights and darks, and then helps sort and fold and put shirts on hangers.  Here are pictures of Nick doing the laundry.

Happy Birthday Grandpa

We all went to see grandpa for his birthday.  He is much stronger since his surgery, he cut everyone a piece of cake!

New Pool

This summer we had to replace the liner in the pool.  Nick enjoyed the back yard in the spring, he had his trampoline for jumping.  But then he was happy when the pool was set up and he could take his evening swims again.

Front Porch

Our front porch has always been a place that Nick and mom would eat meals in the summer.  Here are two pictures of our porch from this summer. 

Fireworks over the fence

We were inside when mom heard the popping sound of fireworks.  We went outside and saw this over our fence.  We had a great view of fireworks from a few streets away!

Father's Day

This year we went to see grandpa for Father's Day.  He had just come out of the hospital, Nick was very well behaved on our visit.  Mom got a picture of three generations of Reminick men. 

Graduation Day

Nick is a graduate of the Class of 2019!  The Life Skills program held a special ceremony for the graduates.  Grammy came to New York to be there for Nick's special day.

Chores: Doing the dishes

Nick has responsibilities around the house.  in this post, mom is sharing pictures of Nick doing dishes and loading the dishwasher.  Mom says, "what a nice way to say thank you for dinner."

The Grandchild Tour

Grammy calls it "The Grandchild Tour" when she leaves Massachusetts and comes to New York, then goes to California.  On her trip she gets to spend time with all of her grandchildren.  Here are some of grammy's favorite pictures from her travels this spring.

Sunday Brunch

We like to have lazy days on Sunday.  Here is a picture of Nick and dad enjoying Sunday brunch.

Boardwalk

In April, the weather warms and it is perfect time to visit the beach. 

Mom and Nick took a walk and saw the new ramps to the beach.  Then we sat on the benches for a long time listening to the sound of the waves. 

Family Visits

In March, mom traveled to California to visit Nick's cousins.

Kitchen counter companion

Nick likes to sit at the counter when mom or dad cooks dinner.  Sometimes Nick looks at his tablet, does puzzles, writing, helps with cooking and sets the table.

Valentine's Day Decoration

As soon as we put our Christmas Tree outside, Nick printed a picture of a valentine's day tree and gave it to mom.  He wrote on the bottom "Be My Valentine Tree."

We went into the attic and got our decorations down and we put them in the living room.  Nick has his lights and hearts in the window and little hearts on his tiny winter tree.

Tree Outside

As we do every year, we have to put our beautiful Christmas Tree outside in January. 

When Nick was little he would cry because he did not want to give up his tree.  But now Nick is big and he knows this has to happen every January.  Here are pics of Nick helping mom take the ornaments and lights off the tree and pack them up until next December.  He even took the tree out to the curb so our town can pick it up and make mulch!

Wow, it is the year 2019!

Nick is happy to celebrate the new year and he is enjoying the glasses that mom buys him every year.  After he posed with them, he put them on the shelf with his "snowman central" display!
