Boardwalk Movies on YouTube

Today mom and Nick went down to the beach and we saw that the boardwalk was gone, only pedestals were there. Lately, Nick has been watching a movie called Bye Bye Long Beach Boardwalk Part 1  Mom said, "That movie makes me sad, I always loved the boardwalk, I used to walk you in the baby carriage when you were little."

Mom said we should remember happier times on the boardwalk.  Later, Nick brought mom to the computer and showed mom another movie from YouTube.  It was called Long Beach Boardwalk and it was made by someone on a bicycle on a beautiful summer day.  Mom, "Thank you Nick, that's the way I like to remember the boardwalk."

Visit to the Fairfield Inn

In February, dad and Nick go on a weekend trip to a hotel out east.  Nick looks forward to the trip, he puts it on his calendar and reminds mom and dad all the time until it is time for the trip. 

On Saturday, Nick packed his bathing suit and towel in a bag, and waited for dad to tell him it was time to go in the car.

Nick loves to play in the pool, he especially likes the whirlpool

And he likes going out to eat pizza dinner with dad.











When Nick came home we looked at the pictures on the computer.  Mom said, "You are so lucky to have a vacation weekend at the hotel, I'm glad you had fun."

Ear Drops

Nick's doctor said he has swimmer's ear from playing in the bathtub too much.  For five days we have to put drops in Nick's ears.

Nick does not like getting ear drops, but he is cooperating two times a day when mom and dad ask him to lie down so we can put the drops in his ears.

We count the drops: one, two, three, four, five, and then we are done. 

Nick does not like the feeling of drops in his ears, but Nick is very brave in taking his ear medicine.

Snowy Saturday

Last Friday it was raining, but mom told Nick the rain was going to change to snow.  At night, before Nick went to bed we looked out the window and saw the snow falling.

The next day there was lots of snow on the ground.  Mom told Nick that AHRC was closed, Nick was disappointed.

But them Mom and Nick dressed up in warm clothes and took a walk outside.  Nick played in the snow and he was very happy.

Happy Birthday Katie!

Today is Katie's 3rd Birthday.  Katie is far away, but we sent a card and presents in the mail.  Aunt Stefani sent a picture from Katie's Birthday party.

Mom showed Nick the picture on the computer.  Mom said, "Look at your cute little cousin, she looks like she had a fun Birthday party!"

Water Please!

Now that we are living in an apartment, we have a water dispenser on the outside of the refrigerator.  Nick has learned how to re-fill his own water cup.  Mom said, "that's nice, now you don't have to ask for water, you can get it yourself."

One day, mom was on the couch, and mom said to Nick, "Nick, can you get mom some water in a cup?"  Nick went to the kitchen and got a cup, then he filled the cup with water and drank all the water himself and gave mom an empty cup!

Mom asked Nick again to get water, but Nick did same thing.  Mom said, "well, I guess we have to practice that some more!"
