Happy Birthday Henry!

Today is Henry's 9th birthday, and Henry was in New York City to celebrate!

This is a picture of Henry and Katie in Times Square.

We went to a restaurant called The View, there were windows all around and the floor moved, so we could see all of New York City from our table! 











After dinner we surprised Henry with desserts, birthday candles and presents. 

We had a good time, Nick was very happy on the train home.  And he was even happier when we got back to Long Beach, because it was snowing!

Winter Bash

Today mom and Nick went to the Winter Bash in Long Beach, it was a festival for the families who are working to restore our community and live in their houses again. 

Mom and Nick walked to Broadway and Lindell Blvd until we found the festival.

Nick played at the basketball booth, he got six chances and shot two baskets!

Nick got two blue drinking cups as a prize.












We walked home and looked at our neighborhood, the boardwalk was all gone.  Mom told Nick our town is still cleaning up after the storm.  We walked by our house which is still broken.  We sat outside but it started to get cold, then we came back to our apartment to eat Sunday night dinner.

Bye Bye Christmas Tree

January is here, Christmas is done and it is time for the tree to go outside. 

Nick does not like it when the tree has to go outside.  When mom started to take the lights and ornaments off, Nick tried to stop mom, but then mom showed Nick the calendar, mom said it was time for the tree to go outside.  Nick was very brave, he let mom put the tree on the side of our building until it can be taken away.

Time to go home

On Wednesday mom and Nick took the long car ride home.  Mom said to Nick, "you were a good boy on this trip, I had a wonderful time visiting our family, I hope you feel the same way."

Christmas Day

One of grammy's favorite things about Christmas is she has all of her grandchildren together.

Christmas Presents

Nick got wonderful Christmas presents from his family.

We gave Henry a Long Beach t-shirt, and 2013 sunglasses because he likes to stay up until midnight.

We gave Katie 2013 sunglasses too!

Katie got a Finding Nemo fish, and the movie to watch.  Grammy wanted to take a picture of Katie with Nemo, but she covered up her face with the fish instead.
