Happy New Year

This year we did something different. Mommy and Nick went to Henry's house for New Years instead of Christmas.

Henry was very excited because he was allowed to stay up late and watch the ball drop. He bought us glasses and hats to wear for the celebration!

Nick did not stay up and mommy barely made it. This is a picture of Henry, Aunt Stefani and Uncle Ned right before midnight. After the ball dropped we blew our horns and said "Happy New Year!" and gave each other kisses.

The next day we went to the park to go snow tubing. Aunt Stefani and Uncle Ned got Nick got a new red tube as a Christmas present because they remember how much he liked it last year.

When we came home grammy was taking care of Nick's little cousin, baby Katie.

The next day it was time to go home. Nick played on his computer while mommy packed up our things in the car.

Then we took the long drive home. Nick was a good boy in the car. When we got to the bridge Nick kept telling mommy which way to drive. Mommy said, "I know you are good at GoogleMaps, but don't worry, mommy knows the way home."

We got home in time to have dinner. Nick was happy to see his own Christmas tree and play on his own computer....and sleep in his own bed!

Baby Katie

In February we found out that Nick has a new baby cousin. Her name is Katie, and she is Henry's little sister.

Every week we get new pictures of Katie on the computer. This is Katie in the crib, looking at herself in a little mirror.

Last week mommy met Katie for the first time.

Mommy showed Nick these pictures and said, "This is Henry's sister and your new cousin. Maybe next month we will take a ride in the car to visit Henry's house and we will see your new cousin together."

Happy Belated Birthday Henry!

Cousin Henry's Birthday is in January. This year he is six years old!

Because Henry lives far away we cannot be there to sing Happy Birthday and eat cake. But Aunt Stefani sends us pictures on the computer.

This is Henry blowing out his birthday candles.

Then Henry opened the present we sent him in the mail.

We sent him Treehouse Books because Henry loves to read interesting stories.

Baby Teeth

This week Nick lost a tooth. It left a space in the back of his mouth and he was bleeding. Mommy and daddy could not find the tooth.

The day before mommy got a picture on the computer. Cousin Henry lost his first baby tooth! He has a space in the front, and you can see where the tooth is missing in his mouth. And best of all, he got one dollar under his pillow!

The Big Apple Circus

On Thanksgiving weekend, Mommy and Nick went to New York City. We took the train and went to visit Mommy's work. Nick likes to look out the windows and see all the buildings in New York City.

Then we took the A Train to Columbus Circle. We walked into the Time Warner Center and Grammy was sitting there waiting for us! We went downstairs to have lunch and Grammy told Nick that we were going to The Big Apple Circus and we would see cousin Henry.

Nick was happy when we got to the circus. We went inside the big tent and found our seats. Henry and Aunt Stefani were already in their seats waiting for us. Nick did good sitting and quiet voice most of the time during the show. In the middle of the show mommy and Nick went to sit in the back where there were no other people. Nick watched clowns and people high up on swings. There were horses and dogs too!

At the end of the show we said "all done."

Then we walked in the streets to Rockefeller Center. The big tree lights are not on yet, but mommy said we would go back to see them. We went inside the building and downstairs to a table and watched the skaters on the rink.
